We recently posted about Sony Ericsson Aspen, codenamed Faith, which will be one of the earliest handsets to debut with Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Sergey Kuzmin did a hand-on video of this device running Windows Mobile 6.5.3. It is the first version of Windows Mobile that natively support capacitive touch displays. The Aspen allows easy multi-tasking combining the touch experience and a real QWERTY keyboard. Sergey showed off some of Windows Mobile 6.5.3’s menus and sizing it up with some of Apple, Nokia, and RIM’s offerings. Read the rest of this entry »

  • Sony Ericsson Rachael teaser video plays with our hearts

The Motorola DROID might be at the forefront of the Android scene right now, but it looks like it’s going to have some high-end competition soon — Sony Ericsson’s been hyping the Rachael / XPERIA X3 launch on November 3, and today it’s put out this little teaser video. Nothing much here other than some fleeting glimpses of the handset in Luster White, but it’s looking quite sharp, and if the final specs are close to the DROID’s we could have a real battle on our hands — especially since SE’s crazy Android UI skin looks pretty sweet. Sony Ericsson rolls out another Walkman phone, the W902

The second phone announced today by Sony Ericsson was yet another Walkman phone, the W902. After the terrible second quarter the company had, we’re starting to wonder if the Walkman line will become the new RAZR.

Either way, the features of the W902 Walkman Phone are pretty sweet: 2.2″ 262k color TFT, QVGA (240×320 pixels) display, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and video capture/playback, SMS/MMS/IM, stereo Bluetooth with A2DP, 25 MB of memory, Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot, 8GB M2 card included in the box, Shake Control, FM Radio, Java and Google Maps.

Sony Ericsson will start shipping the W902 in Q4 2008 for an unknown price, just like the previously announced W595.
