Hp-Core-i3-based-g62t-laptop

The new G62t may be in the same family as HP’s budget-minded G60 laptop, but it has more in common with the high-end Envy 15 as far as appearance. It certainly is stylish. The specs are pretty respectable too. You get a standard Core i3 processor (upgradable to Core i5 or i7), 3GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 15.6-inch LED-backlit display, and a DVD burner (upgradable to Blu-ray).

Their is at least one downside, the non-upgradeable integrated Intel HD graphics. Then again the starting price is just $699, making that drawback something many of us can live with. Looks good.

D-roll: Morph your laptop into a backpack

  • D-roll: Morph your laptop into a backpack

d-roll_xuWzl_58Now this is something that your Apple Mac can’t do!

This ‘next gen laptop design’ by Hao Hua looks like a artist’s tube on speed! It’s been labeled as the “D-roll” or “digital roll,” and works just like a normal laptop, except that instead of being a massive square lump of plastic, it’s a tube shaped lump of plastic, how cool is that!

It’s got everything you could really need from a laptop; a screen (OLED that rolls out of the tube), a slide out keyboard, a mouse and even a detachable webcam (that can even act as the tube’s end caps). If that’s not enough for you, you can even wear the webcam as a wristwatch, I know, it was too much for me to deal with as well…

Modern gadgets apart from being stylish are getting smaller day-by-day. And the latest creation to catch our eye is the ‘next gen laptop design’ by Hao Hua. Dubbed “D-roll” or “digital roll,” the new device works like a regular laptop, but rolls up to be a side bag or even a backpack for easy transportation. Designed like an artist’s tube, the D-roll Laptop features a roll up OLED screen and a slide out keyboard, together with a mouse and a detachable webcam that can be worn on your wrist when not attached to the system. The mouse and web camera can also be used as the end caps for thelaptop case, while the straps double as ports to plug in your USB devices. Just cool!

  • Dell’s ultra-thin Adamo XPS to ship soon for $1,799

Dell has finally fully disclosed the specifications of its newly crafted ultra-thin notebook, the Adamo XPS. The laptop is only .4″ (just over a centimeter) thick and weighs just over 3lbs.

Specs include a 13.4″ LED-backlit 720p display, 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ultra-low voltage CPU, GS45 integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3-800 RAM, a 128GB SSD, 802.11a/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, DisplayPort, two USB 2.0 ports, a 20WHr (about 2.5 hours of life) or 40WHr (a bit over 5 hours of life) Li-Ion battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium X64.

The system ships with Ethernet, VGA and HDMI dongles, as well as an optional DVD burner, Blu-ray drive, and a 250GB or 500GB external HDD. Other noteworthy features include built-in location awareness, an unconventional hinge placement (which angles the laptop), capacitive touch-sensitive latching mechanism, and a full-sized keyboard with aluminum capped chiclet-style keys.

The Dell Adamo XPS’ design appears to be very Mac-inspired — and that includes its asking price. The notebook starts at $1,799 and will reportedly ship in time for the holidays.
