What’s in the Box:

Arc Touch Mouse
USB Receiver
AAA Batteries
Manuals and Warranty

Design & Installation

The curvature on the Arc Touch Mouse is designed in such a way that the mouse is more comfortable to hold for longer periods of time.

Arch Touch Mouse is made of a flexible rubbery material with a wonderful grippy finish. When you open the package, you would find the mouse which resembles a slab of plastic and nothing like a typical mouse you know of. At the back, you would find a nano-transceiver which is magnetically attached to the mouse. You would need to take out the nano-transceiver and attach it to your preferred USB port. Once you have done this, just snap back the flattened mouse to it’s curvy shape and that would power it on.

The mouse has all the standard buttons including left and right click buttons and a unique touch based scrolling operation. The touch-sensitive scroll tab has vibration feedback and accelerated scrolling features. The curved portion on the top has a rubberized grip which makes it easy to use.

On turning on the mouse, you will see a green light on top which indicates the battery level (it turns amber when the battery is low). You will also see the BlueTrack light at the bottom. The BlueTrack technology ensures that you can use the arc touch mouse virtually on any kind of surface.

The Mouse has all the standard buttons as you would expect including the left and right click buttons. In addition to these, it comes with a unique strip which handles your scrolling operations. The touch-sensitive strip has vibration feedback and accelerated scrolling features, which will surely appeal to most of the users

Microsoft claims that the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse can last more than 6 months before you have to replace the batteries. There is a small green LED indicator if the battery level is high and will turn into red when it’s time to replace the batteries

Pros:

Unique flexible design
Great for frequent travelers
Ergonomically designed
BlueTrack technology ensures slick usage on any surface
Touch based scrip for scrolling
Can be flattened for easy storage
Nano transceiver, small in size
Long battery life

Cons:

Pricey – costs around $55 (or Rs 3425)
Takes time to get used to
Dependency on USB transceiver
Dirt Magnet
Not comfortable to be used for hours

The newly released GeForce GTX 560 Ti – NVIDIA’s new GF114-based $250 video card. Much as was the case with the launch of AMD’s Radeon HD 6800 series however, AMD is itching to spoil NVIDIA’s launch with their own push. Furthermore they intend to do so on two fronts: directly above the GTX 560 Ti at $259 is the Radeon HD 6950 1GB, and below it one of many factory overclocked Radeon HD 6870 cards.

As a result today we’re looking at not only the GTX 560 Ti, but also AMD’s counter-offensive. Amidst the backdrop of a product launch brought in by nearly a month, we’ll see how AMD’s counters stand up to NVIDIA’s latest, and why for many situations a 2GB Radeon HD 6950 is no better than a 1GB Radeon HD 6950.

An interesting review test the new XFX Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition released by fudzilla guys , the XFX Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition is a factory overclocked graphic card which is considered as the highest overclocked HD 6850 card on the market untill now ,

from 775Mhz to 820 Mhz the GPU is squeezed to the last Mhz , and the memory is overclocked from 1000Mhz to 1100Mhz (4400Mhz effective) , so lets take a look at this little monster performance:

With the 6000 series, XFX is literally putting you in the game. The AMD Radeon HD 6850 is 3-D ready and one of the first HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2 solutions for Stereoscopic 3-D on the market.

The AMD Radeon HD 6850 ushers in a new era of gaming that takes users to an entirely new level. The AMD 3-D experience is truly immersive and seamless. AMD has also teamed up with other Open 3-D ecosystem partners to provide consumers with more choice, more innovation and lower cost.

This high-speed graphics card outdoes the competition with 775MHz, a 4 GHz memory clock, DP + HDMI + Dual DVI which allows for play across four screens and a shader speed of 800 to ensure that graphics are crisp and life-like.

Along with the new series XFX debuts the 3E Trilogy, incorporating AMD Eye-Definition (utilizing AMD’s HD3D technology & DirectX 11 for explosive performance and stunning effects), AMD Eyefinity (which supports multi-display gaming) and AMD Eyespeed (improves video image quality and application performance for amazing visuals) technologies.

While CPU’s are getting faster other components of the overall computing infrastructure also needs an upgrade to provide better speeds, taking the lead Korea based electronics major Samsung has announced it’s DDR4 RAM Module capable of achieving data transfer rates of 2.133 gigabits/second (Gbps) at 1.2V – the good part is it consumes upto 40% less electricity in comparison to predecessor DDR3 technology which uses 1.35V and 1.5V supplying speeds of up to 1.6 Gbps.

The module makes use of Pseudo Open Drain (POD) technology, which allows DDR4 DRAM to consume just half the electric current of DDR3 when reading and writing data. By employing new circuit architecture, Samsung’s DDR4 will be able to run at up to 3.2Gbps, compared to today’s typical speeds of 1.6Gbps for DDR3 and 800Mbps for DDR2.

The new DDR4 DRAM module can achieve data transfer rates of 2.133 gigabits per second (Gbps) at 1.2V, compared to 1.35V and 1.5V DDR3 DRAM at an equivalent 30nm-class* process technology, with speeds of up to 1.6Gbps. When applied to a notebook, it reduces power consumption by 40 percent compared to a 1.5V DDR3 module.

The module makes use of Pseudo Open Drain (POD), a new technology that has been adapted to high-performance graphic DRAM to allow DDR4 DRAM to consume just half the electric current of DDR3 when reading and writing data.

The card has a 100 feet range and, thanks so many aerials, should be able to transmit through walls without losing the signal. The WHDI technology also supports Intel’s High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection 2.0 so it can wirelessly play protected content like Blu-ray films

Aside from the bizarre use of wireless, everything else it standard stuff. Inside the card is Nvidia’s DirectX 11-compatible Geforce GTX 460 with 1GB.

Concept Tablet For The Geek

If your one to think the iPad is a little short of features the same as Yigit Cinar, the tablet he has designed might be for you. Yigit’s tablet packs in nearly ever feature you could possibly need in a tablet and more. His design is still a concept at the moment but Yigit has put together a demo using Autocad and Maya to show his ideas. View the video after the jump.
Yigit’s concept is equipped with multiple USB ports, HDMI connnections and removal battery, all run using Chrome OS and using a digitiser screen rather than a touch screen similar to a Wacom tablet.

Cinar would like HP to build this device, with a digitizer screen (not a touchpad, apparently) by Wacom, and Google’s Chrome OS running the show.

Taken together, it’s a package that only a true geek could love. But in features, if not elegance, it certainly surpasses not only the iPad, but also the upcoming Dell Streak, HP Slate, and countless other tablets.

Microsoft recently announced that their Xbox 360 Project Natal was being renamed Kinect, and the adverts refer to that. As you will see in the video below, the new Xbox 360 features a much smaller design

The picture above is probably the real Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim game console which has a hot rumors lately. If you look very close to that picture, you will see an emboss XBOX 360 title on the body, next rumors says, this game console will be offered in a slim price tag just like the design. Microsoft Xbox 360 ever claimed to arrive at E3 and also rumored to announce the price along with the Project Natal this year. Well, at least the issue about the Xbox 360 slimmer design can be true but we still must wait for Microsoft official announcement about its fix date release and their plan to go bundled at E3.
Broadband access WiFi connectivity can become a cause for concern, especially if you feel like you are getting the raw end as far as Internet connectivity is concerned. Broadband boosters are bound to do the trick and Panorama Antennas Ltd. The company has recently launched a slew of high gain antennas for mobile broadband USB sticks and routers, designed to enhance broadband signals using its all-in-one technology. Especially for the people who find themselves in areas where broadband access is inconsistent, these new antenna solutions or boosters should be the solution that you would need.

The Panorama Antennas WM11-ABOX & WM11-DBOX range comes complete with three mounting options that include a desk mount, mast mount and wall mount. This kit can also be provided with an adaptor lead to plug straight into the USB device to 3G router.

Don’t get cheated out of what you are paying for your broadband service. Make use of these booster and invest on something that will give you better connection in the way that is due to you.

Logitech just announced its C line of webcams including the C910 ($100) with two mics for noise cancellation and 720p video calls.

The 1080p HD Pro Webcam C910

The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 having the longest title and the best specs. It’ll record at 1080p, do video chat at 720p, has stereo microphones and an auto-focusing Carl Zeiss Tessar lens.

The cameras should work with the upcoming Google TV box, enabling 720p video chats on the TV, a far more interesting premise than shipping HD video out of my messy office.

Logitech just announced its C line of webcams including the C910 ($100) with two mics for noise cancellation and 720p video calls. It ships in August. The C510 is more portable and folds up on itself for travel – it’s $60. Finally, you have the C310 and C270 ($50 and $40) that stream at 720p and little else.
